About the artwork
When summer is at its richest, the landscape turns deep green with mature vegetation. This being has been appearing in my paintings for years now. A kind, gentle soul, creating new life with every step.
In summer 2024, this fellow emerged once more, this time as an old forest spirit. Ancient as the first moss, and as steady as a glacial erratic stone.
In the deepest, darkest parts of the forest, there is more life than one might imagine. And in those rare moments when light filters down to the forest floor, you might witness something sacred. Nature itself.
