About the artwork

I love the quietness of grey days and the stillness of dark winter mornings. Watching jackdaws gather in the treetops, slow walks through the muted landscapes, and the faint light on the horizon.

This is the grayest painting I’ve ever made, and the first one I’ve left a bit unfinished, hoping to preserve the raw, quiet atmosphere of winter as it truly is. It’s a reflection of those small moments when nature seems both heavy and hopeful, when even the dimmest light feels like a promise of something more.
